About

Brandyn Kusenda

I'm an AI/ML research engineer. Most of my work sits somewhere between machine learning research and building things people actually use.

Right now I'm building Kindredly at ThetaSet, a public benefit corporation. Kindredly is a calmer, private web for families, with kid-friendly browsing, private sharing and end-to-end encryption. I'm also starting a new project called EnvoyTo.

Before that I built piSTAR Lab, an open-source platform for experimenting with deep reinforcement learning, and Landia, a little multiplayer game world for agents to learn in. A lot of my older side projects, like Model Inspector, came from wanting to see what neural networks are actually doing while they learn.

Lately I've been spending much of my time on AI alignment research.
