Dead Simple DB
A tiny key-value store that saves everything as plain, readable files on disk.
Dead Simple DB is more of a friendly interface to the file system than a database. Each entry is saved in a standard format (JSON, pickle, PNG and so on), so you can open the files directly without going through the library.
It’s a single pure-Python file with asynchronous writes and no schema. I mostly used it for structured logging during machine learning experiments.
db = DeadSimpleDB(root_path="ddb")
db.save(("entity", 1), value={"value": 1000})
